Our 13th release on Touchstone Recordings comes from Anthony Mayer. ‘Tyrantic’ in its Original form is a lo-fi slab of deep progressive trance music – something very unusual in-fact. The track has the hallmarks of classic Sasha/Digweed productions; a huge arpeggiated bassline provides the constantly evolving lead hook & a moody filtered & degraded organ rides atop the thumping kick and metallic percussion layers. Belgian producer Pete Hulsmans (Kill The Lights, Discover Deep) is on remix duties. His mix remains faithful to the Original’s progressions, but he gives it a Future-Prog-Trance makeover, crunchy percussion & kick provide the backbone whilst dark & brooding synth layers emerge & multiply, the crescendo being a huge key change post-break which lifts the track to another level. Unique.
